Kyou is able to produce "clones" of himself by splitting pieces off of his lifespan into multiple forms. The general idea is in order to survive, he inhabits another form, so this form can persist as the others die. He has a limit due to his weakness.
These pieces appear as whatever he premeditates them to be. This could be compared to making things out of thin air, but it's more like shapeshifting.
The clones are sentient. Their blood is a thin substance, and they don't have working organs (for the most part). They are very weak and easily destructable, like humans. Cutting into one feels like slicing into play-doh. When they die, they turn into dust. All senses and emotions are communicated back to the main body while it is in a dreamlike state.
He undergoes subtle personality changes while projected into his clones, such as having strong urges to protect the main body, in contrast to his usual suicidal tendencies. Kyou also tends to be more confident and snarky, due to there being little to no consequence for it.
He tends to sleep while using his power to preserve his minimal life. The main body sleeps in isolation while there are multiple clones out and about.
The power manifested during an experiment where he and multiple children were placed in the same enclosure as a hungry vampire. As his blood got drained, a clone of himself spawned, falling onto the vampire and ultimately distracting it so Kyou could survive and deal the finishing blow: a stake to the heart.
Initially, his power only triggered upon a fight or flight response. Clones would spawn to protect the main body.
They don't do much while facing actual danger on their own, except to serve as a distraction.
Kyou slowly learned how to control his power through experimentation, so he could make the clones useful to the organization. One thing he cannot control, though, is how clones will spawn to prevent his death, including suicide attempts. The clones are able to survive if the main body somehow perishes. Kyou does not know this, however.

Neat, flowy dark hair. Dark eyes that reflect no light. A seemingly permanent smile that has no depth and doesn't reach his eyes.

It seems like he's constantly looking down on people, but it's never noticed by the way he talks. He's a smooth talker, and will easily convince the vulnerable to do whatever he wants.
Self claimed morally gray - his intentions are never clear. The things he does is usually, in his own words, "just for the job."
Despite his expression being stuck on the same smile, he's actually terribly emotional internally. His eyebrows tend to twitch when he's feeling strongly. His smile only fades when he's very upset, or deep in thought.
