Chey stands at 4'9.

Bossy, naive, and a crybaby, Chey fits the title "spoiled princess" perfectly, or so it seems. Though she personally doesn't think highly of herself, she relishes in the attention she gets from acting like a brat.

If you're a stranger, you might not hear too much from her. She'll be quiet, cautious, and almost analytical, as if she's trying to figure out if it's safe to be herself. But if you're someone close, she's a nuisance. Her cheeky remarks are affectionate in their own way, and those who know her learn to find her obnoxious pouts endearing.

One thing that never changes is her endless curiosity. Chey is intrigued by the outside world. The sights, the smells, the people: she wants to know them all. If something peaks her interest, she’ll never hesitate to bombard anybody with questions, as she is blissfully unaware of the concept of rudeness until it is convenient (such as a reason to complain).

Chey’s father, a king, was a sickly man. Because of his sickness, he sought an heir for the throne in his soon to be born child, specifically a prince. However, as Chey was born, they were gravely disappointed. Against the idea of outright killing her, they decided to raise her in secret while they told the world that she was a stillborn prince.

This went well for only so long. As time went on, they grew tired of living a double life, and Chey’s fate was eventually put into the hands of the maids.

Chey spent most of her time alone, in a dark and cold storage room. Maids would come and go, to make sure she was somewhat taken care of. Some would bring her books or charcoal to draw with upon request. It was a lonely place. Even if the maids forgot to feed her, she wouldn’t die, as she was immortal. Chey would just starve, waiting patiently for somebody to come by and take care of her. She began to count the days on the wall, a small line for each day passed. Before she knew it, the walls and floors were covered in those little marks.

While she grew older, the care from others grew scarce. Some servants took to abusing her in various ways to vent their frustrations. The small vampire accepted this abuse as something she deserved, something that was bound to happen.

It was much better than being alone, after all.

One night, a teenaged Chey was visited by a young woman with striking purple eyes. Unsure of what to make of this, as she did not look like a maid, Chey's first instinct was to cower. However, when the woman showed no ill will to Chey, she let down her guard and became intrigued. She spoke of arranged marriage, a concept the young vampire could not wrap her head around, and how she had been chosen as a bride.

"In other words, you will have a new home. I will ensure that nobody can hurt you ever again."

As long as Chey got out of there, she did not particularly mind. After packing her belongings, which amounted to nothing more than a few books, she followed the woman into the night. Her name was Amorette, and her goal was to save Chey from her misfortune. Amorette was a princess herself, and was quite close with whoever Chey was now betrothed to. While it took a while for Chey to understand these concepts, the one thing that seemed clear was that she would be cared for at last.

She was right about this, as when they arrived at Amorette's home, she received only the finest hospitality and care. This would be the first time in her entire life where Chey felt any sort of love directed towards her. She was finally treated like a person instead of some mistake.
